Design Guide

Technical requirements for custom prints — file formats, bleed, resolution and colour.

Accepted File Formats

PDF (preferred), high-resolution PNG or JPEG, plus vector formats: AI, EPS and SVG. For multi-panel designs, send a single flattened PDF with all panels positioned. Avoid Word, PowerPoint or Canva exports for final artwork — export to PDF first.

Resolution & DPI

Small prints (up to A2): minimum 300 DPI. Large format backdrops and roll banners: 150 DPI at final print size is sufficient. Stickers and labels: 300 DPI for crisp, sharp detail. Always design at the final print dimensions — do not scale up a small image, it will print blurry.

Bleed & Safe Area

Add a 5mm bleed on all sides so artwork extends past the cut line — any blank edges will show a white border. Keep all important text and logos at least 5mm inside the trim edge (the safe zone). For floor stickers and cut-outs, provide a separate cut-line file where required.

Colour Mode

Design in CMYK where possible for the most accurate print colours. RGB files are accepted but may shift slightly when converted. Avoid pure black backgrounds (100% K) — use a rich black (e.g. C50 M50 Y50 K100) for deep, even coverage. Pantone/spot colours cannot be guaranteed; we print in 4-colour CMYK.

Fonts & Outlines

Convert all text to outlines/curves before exporting, or embed the fonts. This prevents font substitution on our system. If sending an editable file, include the font files or confirm the font name.

File Size & Naming

Maximum upload size: 50MB per file. Compress very large files as a ZIP. Name files clearly with your order number and product, e.g. "ORD-1234_backdrop.pdf".
